A Red Icon Before You Share Your Screen
You are about to share your screen. Is Hidini hidden from the call, or not? Until now, the only way to know was to open Settings and look. Now the menu bar tells you at a glance.
A Warning You Can’t Miss
When undetectable mode is off, the Hidini icon in the menu bar turns red. That is the one state where the overlay shows up in screen shares and recordings, so the icon says so, right where your eyes already go before you hit Share.
Turn undetectable mode back on and the icon returns to its normal color.
Hide the Icon Itself
A full-screen share shows your menu bar too, and an unfamiliar icon there can prompt the question you’d rather not answer. So there is a new option in Settings → Appearance → Screen Sharing: Hide menu bar icon.
The icon turns invisible but keeps its place, so a click on that spot still opens the menu. It is only offered while undetectable mode is on: if the overlay is visible in the share anyway, hiding the icon would only give you a false sense of cover.
Find Any Note
Search Notes… now sits right under Add New Note in the menu. A small search bar opens at the top of the screen and starts searching as you type, across every note in every group.
- Matching words are highlighted inside the notes, and matching notes get a green outline while the rest fade back.
- Press Return to step to the next match, Shift-Return for the previous one. If the next match lives in another group, Hidini switches to it for you.
- Esc closes the bar and clears every highlight. Nothing is written into your notes.
Reorder Note Groups
The note groups window now has a drag handle on every row. Grab it and drop the group where you want it. The order matters more than it looks: the group switch shortcuts follow the list, so the first group is always on the first shortcut.

These changes arrive with the next update, and Hidini updates itself. If you do not have Hidini yet, the download is here.
